CASA Part 147 approved package comprising aircraft type theoretical training and examination, plus practical training and assessment, to meet Part 66 requirements for issue of an aircraft type rating. For Category B1/B2 applicants, approved type training consists of theoretical training and examination, and practical training and assessment as specified in the Part 66 MOS.
Who is this course for?
Part 66 Category B1.3 licence holders or applicants requiring both the theoretical and practical elements of approved aircraft type training to support endorsement of the aircraft type rating stated in the course title on a Part 66 licence.
AC 147-02 Note 1: No RPL procedure described in exposition. RPL use is not approved for this organisation.
AC 147-02 Note 2: The B1.3 courses only provide mechanical, structural, electrical and avionic Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) training outcomes (includes interface for Turbomeca Arriel); attendees need to complete an approved engine course to obtain the full B1.3 rating without restrictions.
