CASA Part 147 approved aircraft type practical training and assessment (PCT, POC or OJT as applicable) to meet Part 66 requirements for issue of an aircraft type rating. Practical training develops practical competence across a representative cross-section of maintenance tasks relevant to the aircraft type and the privileges of the applicable licence category/subcategory, including completion of mandatory tasks defined in the approved practical training programme/OJT task log.
Who is this course for?
Part 66 Category B2 licence holders or applicants requiring the practical element (PCT, POC or OJT as applicable) of approved aircraft type training to support endorsement of the aircraft type rating stated in the course title on a Part 66 licence.
AC 147-02 Note 1: No RPL procedure described in approved exposition for type training. RPL use is not approved for type training courses.
AC 147-02 Note 3: These Course Codes are NOT STAND-ALONE OJT. They provide the 25% of OJT requirement when coupled with the relevant POC Code for 1st rating outcomes. The sequence of reporting dates for POC and OJT need not be concurrent.
