About this book
Sigma provides a candidate-specific, type-specific OJT Task Book for the approved B1.1 practical OJT pathway on A320. This is not a scheduled classroom course or an aircraft-access service. The task book structures and records practical maintenance experience completed on the aircraft in an operational workplace. Tasks are personally performed by the candidate, supervised and certified by an appropriate LAME, and submitted to Sigma for final OJT assessment. This approved 25% OJT code is not a stand-alone first-rating outcome: it must be coupled with the relevant POC code. The POC and OJT reporting dates do not need to be concurrent.
Who this book is for
Aircraft maintenance engineers pursuing the stated B1.1 A320 type-rating outcome who require the approved 25% OJT supplement used with the relevant POC, and who have access to the aircraft, applicable maintenance tasks and an appropriately authorised supervising LAME.
Before you purchase
This product is a personalised OJT Task Book and Sigma assessment pathway, not a scheduled classroom course. The book is issued to the named candidate and is not transferable.
The candidate is responsible for securing continuing access to the applicable aircraft, maintenance tasks, workplace records and appropriate supervision. Only tasks personally performed and capable of verification can be accepted.
AC 147-02 Note 2: this approved code is not stand-alone OJT. It provides 25% of the OJT requirement when coupled with the relevant POC code for a first type-rating outcome. The sequence of reporting dates for POC and OJT need not be concurrent.
Where the relevant mandatory tasks and component-location requirements have been completed through the POC, they may be recorded as completed in accordance with the OJT Task Book instructions.
CASA application form: Form 541, once all applicable aircraft type-rating requirements have been met. Sigma submits Form 465 as the MTO training-outcome notification; the applicant remains responsible for lodging Form 541 and the required supporting evidence.
On completion and assessment
Upon successful completion and assessment of the OJT Task Book, candidates will receive:
- The completed and assessed OJT Task Book returned as evidence of the recorded practical experience
- Sigma submission of the CASA Form 465 training-outcome notification
- Application guidance for CASA Form 541 once all applicable aircraft type-rating requirements have been met
- Confirmation of the approved 25% OJT outcome to be used with the relevant POC outcome
